This site exists because August empties Paris and fills the coast, because the 35-hour week is real in some rooms and theatre in others, and because the Tour is a calendar as much as a race. The motorway is part of the country. We write it that way.
How a page is built
Economy pages start from a number you can still check: INSEE, Eurostat, the Banque de France. Industry pages start from a firm or a sector you can name without a slogan. Sport pages start from the fixture or the climb, not a brand campaign. The working week is a real page because visitors keep arriving on a Tuesday in August and wondering where the baker went.

What we will not do
We will not write France as a startup slide. We will not pretend nuclear is a vibe. We will not flatten football, rugby, and cycling into one "sports culture" paragraph. We will not tell you the office is open in mid-August without saying which office.
Corrections
A firm that has merged, a stadium that has a new name, a tax band that moved: name the page and the year. We cannot rewrite INSEE. We can date the sentence.
